– Playoff experience

When joining the Patriots, the goal is pretty simple. The organization expects to be in the playoffs and make deep runs when they get there. With Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, New England has been the most successful franchise in the NFL, and they expect the best out of everyone.

After a tough loss in the Super Bowl last year to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Patriots are certainly hungry for revenge. Luckily for Decker, he is no stranger to playing in the playoffs. With the Denver Broncos, Decker played in the playoffs three straight years. In five playoff games with the Broncos, Decker totaled 14 receptions, 195 receiving yards, and zero receiving touchdowns. Compared to his regular season stats, Decker’s playoff numbers are a bit disappointing.

However, with the Titans in the playoffs last season, Decker played quite well. In two games, Decker totaled eight receptions, 106 receiving yards, and one receiving touchdown. While Decker’s numbers in the playoffs are a bit down from his career averages, he has a good amount of experience come playoff time. For New England, having a reliable receiver like Decker will be important, especially since Brady lost one of his favorite playoff targets in Danny Amendola.
