8. Jason McCourty, Cornerback

The newly acquired McCourty is a familiar face or at least resembles a familiar face on the Patriots roster. The twin brother of Devin McCourty should be a key asset to the defense come next season.

The experienced and talented Jason McCourty will bring a range of skills that New England could use. He is athletic and rangy with the skill to play in Belichick’s complex defense.

During the 2017 season, McCourty had 54 total tackles, 65 combined, and accounted for three interceptions and one touchdown for the Cleveland Browns.

McCourty’s presence will definitely help the Patriots cover talented wide receivers in zone coverage as well as man to man.

Jason also has the advantage of having his twin brother help acclimate him to the Patriots system, schemes, and defensive intricacies.

The McCourty twins should be able to cause fits for opposing offenses, ultimately the acquisition will prove to be positive for the team.
