The NFL Top 100 was announced and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was ranked as the best player. For Brady, this was very well-deserved.

For the second straight season New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was named as the top player in the NFL. The 2017 season was a very good one for Brady and the Patriots. While they didn’t win a Super Bowl, the Patriots did get another AFC Title and Brady was able to win the NFL MVP award.

In 2017, Brady totaled 4,577 passing yards, 32 passing touchdowns, and just eight interceptions. While he didn’t have as good of a touchdown to interceptions ratio as in 2016, Brady still had a great season and was very deserving of winning the MVP.

While winning the MVP generally means that you are the best player in the league, Brady was recently recognized as it for the second straight year.

At 40-years-old, this is certainly an impressive accomplishment for Brady, as despite his age, he is still playing at an elite level. Rounding out the Top 5 with Brady was some other very talented players.

Coming in 5th was Pittsburgh Steelers running back, Le’Veon Bell, who was ranked ninth the year prior. After Bell was Julio Jones of the Atlanta Falcons, who took one step down in the rankings from last year.

In third was Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz. Unfortunately for Wentz, he had his season cut short due to a leg injury. If not for getting injured, Wentz might have been the NFL MVP and first on the rankings.

Coming in second was Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, who was ranked fourth last season. For Brady, edging out some of these great players is certainly an impressive accomplishment at his age. While he is supposed to be past his prime, Brady keeps on rolling. With the greatest quarterback of all-time under center, the Patriots will have a good chance to win the Super Bowl once again next season.
