Pro Football Focus recently ranked the top players over the age of 35. Where did Tom Brady of the New England Patriots come in ranked?

The New England Patriots have been very fortunate to have Tom Brady under center for them. Despite some concerns about Brady’s age, he has shown no signs of slowing down. At over 40-years-old, Brady was able to win the NFL MVP last season and lead the Patriots to the Super Bowl once again.

Even though the Patriots did come up short against the Eagles, it wasn’t Brady’s fault, as he totaled over 500 passing yards in the game. Brady will be 41-years-old at the start of the 2018 season, but he and the Patriots are still expected to be one of the best teams in the NFL.

Recently, Pro Football Focus ranked the top players over 35-years-old. As he deserves, Brady came in ranked first. Here’s what Pro Football Focus had to say about Brady.

"Whatever Brady is doing, it’s working. Just look at where he ranks in each of our advanced quarterback accuracy charting, whether it’s by separation, throw type or pass depth, Brady is dotted across the lists. His high-end grading and production hasn’t faltered with his age, pushing expected regression much further down the road for future Hall of Famer."

As still arguably the best quarterback in the game, and likely to go down as the best of all-time, Brady certainly deserved to be first on this list. It has been amazing to see Brady not show any signs of regression the past few years, as his arm strength is still exceptional.

Brady spends a lot of time and effort on his body and that has clearly paid off for his longevity. Even though NFL careers generally don’t last long, there are multiple stars on the list. After Brady, Drew Brees, Phillip Rivers, and Ben Roethlisberger all came in the top 10, as lasting longer at the quarterback position is easier than others.

If Brady is able to continue his great play in 2018, he will only continue to cement his legacy as the greatest quarterback of all-time. Nobody has beaten father time yet, but Brady appears to be trying to do so.
