Patriots Rumors: Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski will be at mandatory camp
Recent New England Patriots rumors are finally positive involving Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, as we finally have an idea of when they will be at camp.
New England Patriots rumors have really picked up in recent days with the organized team activities beginning. A majority of the talk has been around who is not in attendance.
There is a total of 10 players who have been absent from the voluntary OTA’s thus far. The two biggest names are quarterback Tom Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski.
The superstar duo has yet to attend any part of the Patriots offseason program, missing phase one and two previously. They have yet to show up for phase three of the program. This is not something that normally happens in New England, as they usually have a near perfect attendance for offseason activities.
There has been a lot of talk surrounding Brady and Gronkowski, and rightfully so. Both players have committed to playing in 2018, which is the good news. However, not everything is peachy in Foxborough.

Both players are reportedly looking to get restructured contracts. The two All-Pros have also been working out at TB12 with Brady’s trainer, Alex Guerrero, which is causing some friction between them and head coach Bill Belichick. In fact, they were reportedly working out there Monday and Tuesday when they missed voluntary OTA’s.
While the TB12 and Guerrero issue isn’t one that is going to go away any time soon, recent Patriots rumors are at least of the positive variety. While Brady and Gronkowski are not currently present at workouts, they should be there sooner than later.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, both Brady and Gronkowski are expected to attend minicamp in June when they become mandatory.
That is excellent news for the Patriots and their fans. Players have skipped mandatory practice before, holding out for better contracts. However, they run the risk of being fined. That isn’t something players want, so they will usually attend to show goodwill.
Getting back into the facility could help calm down some of the emotions that have been bubbling up in recent months. The Patriots will look a little different in some areas this season, so getting reps together would be beneficial.
