Tennessee Titans No. 22: Alabama LB Rashaan Evans

The 22nd pick was a hot commodity on draft night. This was a pick that was owned by four different teams at one point or another. The Kansas City Chiefs originally traded it to the Buffalo Bills during the 2017 NFL Draft. The Bills traded it to the Baltimore Ravens during the 2018 NFL Draft, who then flipped it to the Tennessee Titans.

To land this pick from Baltimore, the Titans traded the No. 25 and No. 125 picks for No. 22 and No. 215. With the 22nd pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Titans selected Alabama linebacker, Rashaan Evans.

Evans fills a major need for the Titans while also presenting a lot of value. Evans was projected to go in the early teens, but Tennessee snagged him at No. 22. Evans fills an immediate need for the Titans on the second level of their defense.

Tennessee needed to land a linebacker in the draft, whether it was on the outside or inside. Evans fills the need on the inside which was created when Avery Williamson signed with the New York Jets. Evans possesses the versatility to be a three-down linebacker given his instincts in the run game and coverage abilities.

The only question surrounding Evans is if his body will hold up, as he is on the smaller side and already had some durability questions. If he can stay healthy, the Titans added a very good defender to their team.
