Arizona Cardinals No. 10: UCLA QB, Josh Rosen

With the 10th pick in the NFL Draft, we saw our second trade of the night. With one of the top quarterbacks still available, the Oakland Raiders suddenly had a very valuable pick at 10. Since the Miami Dolphins might have been in the market for Rosen, teams who wanted a quarterback certainly called the Raiders. Ultimately, it was the Arizona Cardinals making the jump.

Due to the retiring of Carson Palmer, the Cardinals had a need for a quarterback for this season and for the future. With the 10th pick, the Cardinals ended up taking Josh Rosen from UCLA, as they ended his fall in the first round.

Since Rosen had some durability issues, he fell on the draft board of many teams that were in need of a quarterback. However, the Cardinals believe in him, and he is one of the readiest of the quarterbacks taken early.

Sam Bradford isn’t going to be thought of as the long-term answer in Arizona and he has also had durability issues of his own, Rosen could see himself on the field quickly. If Rosen is able to stay healthy and is properly protected, he could end up being the best quarterback in this draft.
