New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had a great season. However, what was his best game in the 2017 regular season?

The New England Patriots were able to have another fantastic regular season in 2017, as they had the best record in the AFC.

Even though things did not start out well for the Patriots with a 2-2 record in their first four games, they were able to rebound and have a great season. One of the main reasons for their success was the play of Tom Brady.

Coming off a great 2016 season, Brady was able to pick up right where he left off in 2017. If Brady wasn’t suspended for the first four games of the season in 2016, he could have won the MVP award, as he set the single-season record touchdown to interception ratio. However, missing the four games hurt his statistics compared to Matt Ryan and Aaron Rodgers, who both had great seasons.

In 2017, Brady was able to win the MVP, as the Patriots were the best team in the AFC, and he put up a great season. Overall, Brady finished with 32 touchdown passes, 4,577 passing yards, and just eight interceptions.

As the MVP, Brady put together some great games in 2017. Recently, Pro Football Focus had Brady as the highest graded quarterback in one game. Surprisingly, that game came against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Here’s what PFF had to say about the game.

"While Brady’s numbers don’t particularly jump off the page, a closer look at his performance reveals that several of his best throws on the day were called back on penalties and the usually highly reliable Rob Gronkowski dropped a touchdown pass. When taking all of Brady’s performance into account, it’s easy to see how he earned a passing grade of 95.4, the third-highest single-game mark of his career."

When looking just the final stats, Brady’s numbers were somewhat unimpressive. While he did total 298 passing yards with a touchdown, it could have been much more as PFF points out. Considering it was the biggest game of the season, it should come as no surprise to see Brady come through with a big game.

The win against the Steelers gave the Patriots the inside track to home-field advantage in AFC. For the Steelers not being the No.1 seed resulted in them having to face the Jacksonville Jaguars instead of the Tennesee Titans. This, of course, was something that they certainly wish was different.

For Brady, it was another great season in 2017. Now, he will be looking to get back to the Super Bowl and avenge the loss to the Eagles next season.
