Jaguars defense

Since the Patriots have the highest implied total in Vegas in the Conference Championship games, taking the Jaguars’ defense might seem a bit odd. On the NFC side, both the Eagles and the Vikings have very strong defensive units, but they are priced higher than the Jaguars, with the Vikings being $1,000 more.

All season, the Jaguars’ defense has been one of the best in the NFL. With the nickname “Sacksonville” the Jaguars are obviously able to get after the quarterback, and that will be something they try to do against Brady.

This season, the Patriots struggled to protect Brady early on, but the pass protection certainly got better as the season went on. However, this will be arguably the best pass rush that they have faced all season, and with a good secondary, the Patriots are going to be challenged on all levels this Sunday.

Even though the Steelers were able to get some big plays against them last week and score over 40 points, the Jaguars’ defense still performed well in fantasy. With two sacks, one fumble recovery, one interception, and one touchdown, the Jaguars still scored eight points despite the high final score.

At just $2,800, the Jaguars’ defense should certainly exceed expectations against the Patriots.
