The New England Patriots are set to defend their Super Bowl title beginning this weekend. After earning a bye during Wild Card weekend, the Patriots begin postseason play on Saturday, January 13th, against the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans pulled off the biggest upset of Wild Card weekend, defeating the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Now, they will be looking to pull off another upset at Gillette Stadium.

The Patriots will be hosting the Titans at 8:15 pm ET, as they earned home-field throughout the postseason with a 13-3 regular season record. A victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 15 helped the Patriots seal the deal.

Right now, not many people are giving the Titans much of a chance to beat the Patriots, let alone hang around with them.

Currently, the Patriots are 13.5 point favorites against the Titans according to SBRodds.com. While the Titans aren’t being given much of a chance, we know that they are dangerous after watching them play last week.

Against the Chiefs, the Titans weren’t given much of a chance either. The Chiefs looked like they were going to prove those people right, as they jumped out to a 21-3 lead. However, that proved to not be enough, as the Titans would come all the way back and defeat the Chiefs 22-21.

The Patriots cannot afford to take the Titans lightly. The Chiefs looked to take their foot off the pedal and it backfired as the Titans roared back. The injury to star tight end Travis Kelce didn’t help the cause, but the Titans still needed to execute themselves and they did.

If the Patriots are to avoid the same result as the Chiefs, they must slow down some key Titans players. Check out our slideshow of five Titans that the Patriots must watch for in their Divisional Round matchup.
