Brady Contract Negotiations

The Brady contract extension in 2016 also carried false information. ESPN claimed the negotiations forced Belichick to leave the NFL Combine in Indianapolis to help with the contract talks.

"“In 2016, Kraft and Brady’s agent, Don Yee, began negotiating a new deal; Belichick and other Patriots staff had to abruptly leave the NFL combine in Indianapolis to be part of the process.”"

Brady, Kraft and Yee all talked about the contract through “casual conversation“. The report that Belichick had to “abruptly” leave the combine was also false, as there was no rush to get him back to Foxboro.
