FOXBORO, MA – DECEMBER 31: A detail of the jersey of Tom Brady /

1.) Tom Brady

Easily the top player for the New England Patriots this season was their 40-year-old quarterback, Tom Brady. After winning his fifth Super Bowl last season, the Patriots are clearly committed to Brady moving forward, as they decided to trade Jimmy Garoppolo this season.

Brady has certainly made it easy for the Patriots to have faith in him for years to come, as he will likely be winning the MVP this season. To start the season, Brady was able to have some big performances for the Patriots with his offensive line and defense struggling. Brady was getting hit the most he had in his entire career, yet he was still able to help lead them to a 2-2 record, when it could have been a lot worse.

Overall, Brady led the NFL with 4,577 passing yards. With 32 passing touchdowns, and eight interceptions, it was another great season for Brady, and he is certainly deserving of league MVP.

While Brady certainly had a great regular season for the Patriots, all he cares about is making it back to the Super Bowl and winning another ring. Brady stated before the season that he would like to play well into his 40s, and at the rate he is going, he should have no problem achieving that.
