Patriots fans have wanted a deep threat for a long time. When Brandin Cooks arrived in Foxborough, it was like a dream come true.
Cooks had already corralled a 54-yard grab in the first half when Brady fired another bomb in the second. The 4.33 speedster cut through Oakland’s secondary like a hot knife through butter. He had five yards on each defender by the time the ball hit his hands, strolling into the end zone for New England’s longest touchdown of the year.
