New England Patriots: Tom Brady will win 2017 NFL MVP
By Stephen Ur
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz was the favorite for NFL MVP before tearing his ACL. Now that he is out for the season, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is the unanimous NFL MVP.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has very good numbers throughout 2017 despite a very shaky start to the season. In their opener against the Kansas City Chiefs, Brady was missing receivers left and right. He finished that game with just 267 passing yards and no touchdowns.
Over the course of the season, however, he has played like everyone knows he can. He currently leads the league with 3,865 passing yards and is third with 27 touchdown passes, only behind Carson Wentz, with 33, and Russell Wilson, with 29.
Brady will most likely finish atop the leaderboard as far as passing yards and could finish tops in the league in touchdown passes, as well. He’ll have more help to get there, as New England signed wide receiver Kenny Britt on Tuesday.
Following their matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have a pretty good defense, the Patriots finish their season at home against the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets.

Brady has already thrown for 515 yards and two touchdowns against the two teams in two games this season.
Those games were on the road. Brady will now have the home field advantage on his side in the two meetings against his two AFC East rivals to end the season. With that behind him, he could move up in the passing leaderboards.
With him being atop the leaderboard in passing yards and passing touchdowns, as well as potentially having the Patriots at the No. 1 seed, Brady will win the 2017 NFL MVP.
