Fantasy Football Week 14: Projection for Rex Burkhead against Dolphins
By Nick Ziegler
As Week 14 of the fantasy football season comes to an end, what can owners expect from Rex Burkhead on the final game of the week?
Monday Night Football will mark the final game of Week 14 for the fantasy football season. With most leagues being in the playoffs now, owners will be sweating out the final game of the week with the hopes of advancing.
This week, the New England Patriots will be traveling down to Miami to face the Dolphins for the final time this season. Just a few weeks ago, the Patriots were able to defeat the Dolphins at home rather easily despite not playing well.
This time, however, the Patriots are coming on the road in a primetime game a bit banged up. In addition to Rob Gronkowski being suspended for this game, New England also had listed over 10 players as questionable on their final injury report.
One player that will be on the field is running back Rex Burkhead. So far this season, Burkhead has proven to be a great addition to the Patriots. On both special teams and on the offense, Burkhead has been an excellent contributor.
So far this season, Burkhead has totaled 244 rushing yards, three rushing touchdowns, 204 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns. Recently, Burkhead has really thrived in the offense, as he has become the primary running back on the goal-line. With New England usually being one of the best scoring teams each week, this presents Burkhead with a lot of opportunities to score.

In their last game against the Dolphins, Burkhead played well for his fantasy owners, as he totaled 50 rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, and one receiving touchdown. In the last four weeks, Burkhead has totaled four touchdowns, and that is certainly something that has helped fantasy owners in recent weeks. Running backs have done well against Miami this season in fantasy, and Burkhead will likely continue to play well.
