New England Patriots News: The injury report is full this week for the Patriots, as two players were announced out and 11 are listed as questionable.

In recent New England Patriots news, we take a look at the injury report. The Patriots are facing off with the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football, so they released their final injury report over the weekend.

Looking at the Patriots injury report is usually a useless exercise. Bill Belichick will use the injury report to play mind games. This week, the injury report is once again extensive but there are plenty of names to pay attention to.

The Patriots have overcome injuries all season long. Players have been out on both sides of the ball, yet the Patriots have persevered. This week they will have to do that again.

The first thing that pops out on the injury report is the players that are out. The Patriots will be without a key contributor on defense, as linebacker Kyle Van Noy was announced out. Van Noy was limited last week and will be sidelined this week.

Van Noy has turned into an every-down player for the Patriots. Van Noy leads the team in tackles with 73 and is second on the team in sacks with 5.5. He also has four tackles for loss and two passes defended. Replacing him in the lineup will not be an easy task for Matt Patricia.

In addition to Van Noy, the Patriots will be without right tackle Marcus Cannon. Cannon is dealing with an ankle injury and hasn’t played since Week 8 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Patriots will also be without tight end Rob Gronkowski. Gronkowski isn’t injured, but will miss the game because of a suspension. Gronkowksi was handed a one-game suspension because of his late hit against Bills’ cornerback Tre’Davious White in last week’s game.

In addition to those players, the Patriots could be without a number of other players as well. New England had 11 players listed on the final injury report as questionable for Monday Night’s game.

Trey Flowers is one name to pay attention to. He missed last week’s game against the Bills and a questionable tag isn’t promising. Another name that pops out is Chris Hogan. Hogan hasn’t played since the game against the Chargers but looks like he could make his return this week.

Marquis Flowers, Deatrich Wise Jr., Stephon Gilmore, Brandon King, Eric Rowe, Matt Slater, LaAdrian Waddle, Dion Lewis and Mike Gillislee were also labeled as questionable.

Some good news for the Patriots is that three players were removed from the injury report. Tom Brady, Malcolm Butler and Trevor Reilly were all removed and will be good to go against the Dolphins.
