In Week 14 of the fantasy football season, what can owners expect from New England Patriots wide receiver Brandin Cooks?

With the fantasy football playoffs likely here in almost all leagues, it is win or go home now for owners. So far this season, one of the best teams to have players on has been the New England Patriots.

As expected, the Patriots have been one of the best offenses in the league. Usually, picking out who is going to do well on a balanced offense of the Patriots is tricky. However, there have been a few players on the Patriots that are must-start players every week.

In Week 14, fantasy owners of Brandin Cooks will be receiving a nice boost. Last week against the Bills, Rob Gronkowski made an awful decision to hit a Bills player well after the whistle. This resulted in Gronkowski being suspended for Monday night, and it is certainly a big blow to the Patriots’ offense.

With Gronkowski out, other players are going to have to step up. Likely, Brady’s new favorite target will be Cooks. So far this season, Cooks has played very well. He has totaled 53 receptions, 886 receiving yards, and five receiving touchdowns. With just over 100 receiving yards to go, Cooks could reach 1,000 receiving yards for the season on Monday night.

Against the Dolphins, Cooks will have a semi-challenging matchup. This season, the Dolphins are one of the better teams in the league at allowing fantasy points to wide receivers. However, just a few weeks ago, Cooks was able to have a nice game against them. In the win a few weeks back, Cooks totaled six receptions, 83 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.

Without Gronkowski, Cooks will likely be seeing targets from Brady in the double-digits. With that being said, he could easily go for 100 receiving yards if Brady throws him the at least 10 times. Even though the matchup isn’t ideal, Cooks is poised for a big week with Gronkowski out.

Week 14 fantasy projection: 7 receptions, 110 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown.
