The New England Patriots rolled the Buffalo Bills on Sunday afternoon. Check out our recap and highlights of the victory!

The New England Patriots hot streak continued in Week 13. The Patriots entered the week on a seven-game winning streak, and are leaving it on an eight-game winning streak. New England ended up blowing out the Buffalo Bills 23-3 after a competitive first half.

The opening drive for the Bills was very promising. It was their second longest drive of the season, however, it didn’t end in points. Tyrod Taylor threw a brutal interception, which set the tone for the Bills all afternoon.

Taylor was also injured on the first play of the drive, which set the Bills offense back all afternoon. Taylor tried gutting it out, but you could see him grimace after a number of plays and he was hesitant to take off and run with the injured knee. Taylor was eventually pulled from the game in the third quarter after throwing for only 65 yards and rushing for 32.

With Taylor hampered, the Bills offense struggled mightily. LeSean McCoy was the only bright spot, gaining 93 yards on 15 carries.

The Patriots defense had a very good game despite being so shorthanded. Trey Flowers and Trevor Reilly were both sidelined and Kevin Van Noy was limited because of an injury as well. It did not matter as the Patriots had other players step up.

One of those players was Eric Lee. Lee was signed off the Bills practice squad last week and has immediately contributed to the Patriots defense. Today, against his old team, Lee was a menace. He finished the game with 1.5 sacks, one tackle for loss, two passes defended and three quarterback hits.

Along with the defense, the running game had an awesome day. Buffalo had no answer for the Patriots on the ground, gashing them for 191 yards on 35 carries. Dion Lewis was the bell cow once again, rushing for 92 yards on 15 carries. Rex Burkhead also ran well, rushing for 78 on 12 carries.

With the run game and defense doing so well, the passing game took a backseat. Tom Brady had his quietest game of the season, completing 21-of-30 passes for 258 yards and one interception.

Rob Gronkowski dominated, catching nine passes for 147 yards. He had a dumb play towards the end of the fourth quarter, however, which will be what people talk about when he dove on top of an already downed Tre’Davious White. He will probably hear from the NFL in regards to a suspension for the play.
