New England Patriots: Tom Brady is still at the top of his game

The New England Patriots were able to get their sixth win of the season against the Chargers. Once again Tom Brady was excellent for the Patriots.

In Week 8, the New England Patriots were able to earn their sixth win of the season. On a pretty gloomy day in New England, the Patriots were able to win in an uglier game than many expected.

Due to the weather partially, this game ended up being just 21-13. With a Las Vegas total near 50, few people likely could have predicted that this game would have been such a low scoring one.

Even though the Patriots only scored 21 points, their passing offense was very good once again. It has become expected of the Patriots to have big days from quarterback Tom Brady, and his great season might be going a bit under-appreciated.

Despite the Patriots’ offensive line and the defense struggling a lot at points this season, it has been Brady who has been extremely consistent. In the win against the Chargers, Brady was able to total 333 passing yards and one passing touchdown.

Brady was able to spread the wealth, as eight different players were able to record a reception. So far this season, Brady has done an excellent job using all of his weapons on offense, as he isn’t just targeting Brandin Cooks and Rob Gronkowski.

For the season, Brady has now totaled 2,208 passing yards, 15 passing touchdowns, and just two interceptions. Since we are eight games into the season, Brady is on pace for 4,400 passing yards, 30 touchdowns, and just four interceptions.

These numbers are extremely good once again for Brady, as he will likely be in the MVP conversation. Even though Brady might not be receiving a lot of attention for his great season because it is expected of him, that doesn’t diminish what he has been able to accomplish this season. If not for Brady, the Patriots would not be 6-2 heading into their bye week.
