The passing offense wasn’t needed much against the Falcons as the Patriots took the early lead and coasted most of the second half. It was still a solid night from Tom Brady and company despite the game flow.
Brady attempted only 29 passes, which was a season low. He completed 21 of those 29 passes for 249 yards, which was also a season-low. Brady tossed two touchdown passes and zero interceptions, snapping his two-game streak of turning the ball over.
Chris Hogan led the team in receiving, totaling 71 yards on four receptions. Brandin Cooks wasn’t far behind, catching four passes for 65 yards and one touchdown. James White had the most receptions with five, finishing with 28 yards. Rob Gronkowski caught three passes for 51 yards.
It was another okay performance from the offensive line. They are taking steps in the right direction, as they were able to keep Brady relatively clean. Brady was sacked twice and hit a total of two times, which is an improvement over past weeks; he was hit 10 times by the Jets last week.
All in all, it was a good performance for the Patriots passing game.
