On Sunday Night Football, the New England Patriots were able to defeat the Atlanta Falcons in a Super Bowl rematch.

After what was a fantastic Super Bowl last season, the rematch wasn’t nearly as good between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons.

In what turned out to be a very foggy night in New England, the Patriots were able to earn their fifth win of the season. Since the AFC East has become a tight race, wins are very important for the Patriots.

Overall, this was a pretty complete game for New England. Despite the defense being short-handed, they were able to have their best game of the season against one of the most talented offenses they will face this season.

The Falcons were extremely aggressive in this game, but the Patriots were able to make some key stops on fourth downs to seize control. Seeing the defense finally put together a good game was very encouraging for New England. If they want to repeat as Super Bowl champions, playing better on the defensive side of the ball like they showed will be important.

On offense, it was a very balanced attack for the Patriots. So far this season, running the football hasn’t come easy for New England. However, they were able to get good games on the ground from their running backs. With Rex Burkhead back in action, all four running backs were involved, and they all played well.

As expected, Tom Brady had a very nice game. Since the Patriots were balanced on offense, Brady wasn’t asked to do too much. However, he still had a good game and made some big throws on third downs throughout the game.

Considering that there have been some struggles, to say the least, for New England so far this season, it is good to see them put together a pretty complete game. Now that the Super Bowl rematch is behind them, it will be interesting to see if the Patriots can build on this game and sustain their good play on both sides of the ball.
