New England Patriots vs Atlanta Falcons: 6 players to watch for

Patriots Wide Receiver, Danny Amendola

The Patriots passing attack has looked good this season despite all of the injuries they have endured. Losing Julian Edelman is a big blow as he is Brady’s security blanket. Rob Gronkowski has also been banged up, not to mention they also lost Malcolm Mitchell prior to the regular season beginning.

One player that has helped fill the void is Danny Amendola. Amendola is an injury risk himself, as he has already missed time this season with a concussion. However, when he is on the field he produces and is a favorite of Brady’s. If they are to knock off the Falcons, they will need Amendola to step up once again.

Amendola should be utilized similarly to how the Dolphins used Jarvis Landry last week. Landry found a lot of success working in the slot despite the Dolphins playing without DeVante Parker. Landry finished the game with eight receptions for 62 yards and one touchdown. Amendola should be able to find some similar success.

Amendola saw only five targets against the Jets in the last game, but that number should increase against the Falcons. It has the potential to be a high scoring game, and Amendola should see plenty of work underneath for the Patriots.
