New England Patriots vs Atlanta Falcons: 6 players to watch for on Sunday Night Football.

The New England Patriots are set to play in primetime for the second time this season. After facing off with the Kansas City Chiefs on opening night, they will be playing in a Super Bowl rematch against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday Night Football in Week 7.

Everyone knows how the Super Bowl went down. The Falcons dominated for almost three quarters as the Patriots dynasty looked to be crumbling before our eyes. Then, in typical Bill Belichick and Tom Brady fashion, the Patriots mounted a furious comeback, eventually winning in overtime.

A lot had to happen for the Patriots to pull off the improbable comeback. New England trailed 28-3 in the third quarter, but that was not enough to keep them down. The Patriots would score 31 consecutive points for arguably the greatest comeback in NFL history given the circumstances. Now, Atlanta will be looking to exact some revenge.

New England will be hosting the Falcons at Gillette Stadium. Oddly enough, the Patriots have struggled at home, going 1-2 on the season; they are actually undefeated when on the road thus far in 2017.

The Patriots and Falcons are coming into this game trending in opposite directions. The Patriots have their shortcomings but are riding a two-game winning streak. The Falcons are coming off two consecutive losses at home to the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins, with a bye week in between.

Will the Patriots be able to lengthen their winning streak? Or will the Falcons snap their own, continuing New England’s poor play at home this season? We will have to wait and see. Here are six players to watch in the game that can impact the outcome on Sunday Night Football.
