Check out our New England Patriots full team grades from their victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The New England Patriots faced a stiff test in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football. Coming off a disappointing loss just four days ago to the Carolina Panthers, the Patriots had to head on the road to take on a Buccaneers team riding high. The Buccaneers came into tonight’s game off a dramatic victory over the New York Giants Sunday afternoon.

Thursday night games are difficult enough given the abbreviated week a team goes through. For a team that has been experiencing some problems such as the Patriots, it makes it that much tougher.

The Patriots were able to persevere, however, and pulled out a hard-fought, 19-14 victory. There were enough problems to handle even before the Patriots found out that star tight end would be sidelined because of a thigh injury.

Despite everything going against them, the Patriots found a way to leave Tampa Bay with a victory. It wasn’t the prettiest game New England has played by any means, but they got the victory, which is all that matters at the end of the day.

For the first time all season the defense stepped up enough to help the offense, which didn’t click as well as it normally does. That is expected when you are playing without your best player.

A win was important, but it was far from a clean victory. There are plenty of things the Patriots have to work on. Luckily for them, they have 10 days to get healthy and work out some of the kinks until they face off with the New York Jets.

Before we get to that game, let’s examine the one against the Buccaneers. Here are the full team grades for the Patriots from the Week 5 victory over the Buccaneers.
