Injuries have been an issue for the New England Patriots early in the season, but they are finally starting to get healthy.

So far this season, the New England Patriots like many teams in the NFL have been dealing with their fair share of injuries.

In the preseason, the Patriots suffered a huge loss when Julian Edelman was lost for the season due to a torn ACL. The loss of Edelman could have been a crippling blow for the Patriots, but their offense has been able to survive the injury.

The Patriots would really get banged up in their first game of the season against the Kansas City Chiefs, as both Danny Amendola and Dont’a Hightower were injured in the game. If not for the injuries to those two key players, the Patriots might have been able to hold on to a win.

When Amendola and Hightower left with injuries, both the offense and the defense really began to struggle. However, the Patriots were able to bounce back in the second week of the season even without both of them.

The Patriots decided to go with just three active wide receivers in the win over the Saints, and they were actually down to two healthy wide receivers after Phillip Dorsett was injured in that game.

Last week against the Houston Texans, the Patriots had a ton of players listed on the injury report, and they were without a few key players that nearly cost the Patriots the game. However, despite the injuries, the Patriots are 2-1 through three games, and they are finally starting to get healthy.

With Week 4 here, the Patriots only had one player miss practice on Thursday, as Rex Burkhead wasn’t able to suit up. This is certainly an encouraging sign for the Patriots, as they really haven’t been 100 percent this season. While Burkhead will likely be out again, the Patriots could be the healthiest that we have seen them in weeks.
