The New England Patriots were able to bounce back in a big way against New Orleans Saints after a loss in Week 1.

Coming off a tough loss, the New England Patriots were able to bounce back with a win against the New Orleans Saints. There was certainly some concern for the Patriots heading into New Orleans, as it can be a difficult place to play.

Also, the Patriots were without two key players. Both Dont’a Hightower and Danny Amendola were unable to suit up in this game due to injuries suffered in Week 1. Despite this, the Patriots looked just fine on both sides of the ball.

The Patriots wasted little time jumping on the Saints, as they outscored them 20-3 in the first quarter. Seeing the Patriots come out focused and prepared was a great sign, as they were clearly a hungry team.

From there on, the Patriots cruised to their first win of the season. After a subpar first game, Tom Brady was nearly perfect against the Saints. He was able to total 447 passing yards and three passing touchdowns.

Brady was able to spread the wealth nicely, as five different players were able to total at least three receptions. Rob Gronkowski was the No.1 target for Brady, as he totaled six receptions, 116 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.

In addition to Gronkowski, both James White and Chris Hogan played good games for the Patriots, as they combined for 13 receptions. Seeing the Patriots offense play well without Amendola was certainly a good sign, as they utilized their running backs nicely to make up for what they were lacking at wide receiver.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Patriots did a great job keeping Drew Brees and the Saints’ offense in check. Holding the Saints to 20 points in New Orleans is certainly an accomplishment, and their efforts shouldn’t go unnoticed.

After an impressive Week 2 win, there is no need to have the finger on the panic button anymore.
