Week 6: @ New York Jets

After what should be a challenging game against the Buccaneers in Week 5, the Patriots will have a few extra days off to rest and prepare for their next opponent. In Week 6, they will be facing their first AFC East opponent of the season, and that is the New York Jets.

Last season, the Patriots were able to sweep the two games against the Jets, and this year should be no different. The Jets are projected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL, and they might not have a win when they see the Patriots for the first time.

If last year is any indication, Josh McCown still might be the starting quarterback in Week 6 for the Jets. Last season, the Jets stuck with Ryan Fitzpatrick for far too long, and it hampered the development of their other two young quarterbacks.

Even though McCown likely gives the Jets the best chance to win, don’t expect him and the Jets to be able to pull off what will likely be a large upset against the Patriots. This will likely be the Patriots’ biggest win in their first six games.

Prediction: Patriots 30 Jets 17
