New England Patriots: Win-Loss predictions for every game in 2017
By Nick Ziegler
Week 11: @ Oakland Raiders (Game in Mexico City)
After what seems like their yearly trip to Denver, the Patriots will then be facing one of the up and coming teams in the NFL. Last season, it became clear that the Oakland Raiders are ready to make their move in the AFC. With a great young quarterback in Derek Carr, the Raiders might have been the biggest threat to the Patriots prior to Carr getting injured. The injury to Carr derailed the Raiders’ chances of making any noise in the AFC Playoffs last season.
This season, Carr is back and healthy, and the Raiders have a new weapon in Marshawn Lynch. Even though their rushing attack was good last season, Lynch gives them a bruiser that might be able to help them have a deep playoff run.
Week 11 will be a game that all of the teams in the AFC will be watching. The Raiders believe that they are ready to compete, and this will be a huge game against the Patriots. Unfortunately for the Raiders, this won’t be a true home game. Since the game is being played in Mexico City, the Patriots will certainly have a much better chance of winning. Being on a neutral site, expect to see a really good contest between two of the best teams in the AFC.
