New England Patriots vs. Kansas City Chiefs: Preview, TV Coverage and Streams
By Nick Ziegler
On Thursday, September 7, 2017, the New England Patriots will be hosting the Kansas City Chiefs to start the NFL Season. Here is all the information you’ll need to enjoy.
To kick off the NFL Season, the New England Patriots will be raising their fifth banner after the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history. After the miraculous comeback against the Atlanta Falcons, the Patriots will be attempting to defend their title in 2017.
It was a very busy offseason for the Patriots, as they have put together a great roster to help them achieve their goal of a repeat. Against the Chiefs, we will see some of the new faces like Brandin Cooks and Stephon Gilmore take the field in the regular season for the first time with New England.
One of the key players that we won’t see for the Patriots is wide receiver, Julian Edelman. Edelman ended up being a casualty of the preseason, as he tore his ACL against the Detroit Lions. Seeing how the Patriots’ offense does without Edelman will surely be something to watch.
While the Patriots are projected to reach the Super Bowl once again, they will be tested early by the Kansas City Chiefs. Last season, the Chiefs were the AFC West Champions, and they will be bringing a very good defense into New England to try and upset the Patriots.

Week 1 will certainly be a test for the Patriots, but it should be one that they are prepared for. The Patriots are no stranger to playing a tough team to start the season and all of their hard work this offseason should have them prepared for the Chiefs.
