One of the biggest stories this offseason for the New England Patriots was the concussion talk surrounding Tom Brady.

After a great 2016 season that resulted in his fifth Super Bowl win, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has had a busy offseason.

One of the surprising statements that came out this offseason was when Brady’s wife said that he suffered a concussion last season. Brady was never officially listed on the injury report last season with a concussion. The statements from Gisele caused quite a stir, as the concussion protocol in the NFL is a very serious one.

Recently, Brady addressed the comments made by his wife. Here is what Brady said:

"“She’s there every day,” Brady said in the interview via CSNNE.com. “I mean, we go to bed in the same bed every night. So I think she’s, you know, she knows when I’m sore. She knows when I’m tired. She knows when I get hit. I mean, we drive home together. But she also knows how well I take care of myself. She’s a very concerned wife and very loving.”"

The comments made by Brady don’t directly say that he did or didn’t have a concussion last season. After missing the first four games of the season due to the suspension, we might never know whether or not Brady was hiding a concussion.

Generally, Brady is able to avoid taking hard hits in the pocket. With a great offensive line in front of him last season, Brady wasn’t hit nearly as often as some other quarterbacks in the NFL.

Hopefully, for Brady, this concussion talk will be in the rear view mirror moving forward. Entering the 2017 season, Brady will be seeking to repeat as Super Bowl Champions. In addition to looking for his sixth ring, Brady will also be attempting to win the MVP award this season.
