1. 2014 New England Patriots (12-4; Won Super Bowl XLIX)

That’s right. The team that won 12 games as opposed to 14 is the best Patriots Super Bowl winning team. The team was the most complete Patriots team to win a Super Bowl,  more complete than the 2016 team that won 14 games. Everyone was healthy that year and no one stood in their way.

There was a bit of concern at the beginning of the season, however. After a Week 4 blowout loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, many were questioning Brady in many different aspects. He threw two interceptions and the Patriots lost 41-14. Questions roamed from will Bill Belichick bench Brady to will Brady ever play like his old self again.

Despite all the questions following that Monday night nightmare, New England went on to win seven consecutive wins before losing to Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in a competitive game. Their only loss following that came in Week 17 against Buffalo. They still finished with the top overall seed in the AFC.
