#98 Trey Flowers, DE
New England’s sack leader in 2016 did a good job standing out on Wednesday’s minicamp session. Trey Flowers broke out for the Patriots last season, collecting 45 tackles, seven sacks, two fumble recoveries, and a pass deflection.
Jeff Howe pointed out that Flowers was the last player to leave the field following the team’s second day of mini-camp:
Practice ended about 25 minutes ago. Trey Flowers is just now coming off the field after working on technique by himself.

CSN New England’s Phil Perry (@PhilAPerry) added, saying:
Trey Flowers one of the last on the field today, working on his counters. Emphasis on hand quickness and reaction time to OL hand-placement. pic.twitter.com/th0QVOVDuP

In a ‘Patriots Today’ video posted on the Patriots Twitter account (@Patriots), Flowers said:
"“It’s not about being the last one off the field, it’s just about perfecting my craft. If I see something wrong with it, [I’ll] just continue to work on it.” – Trey Flowers"
Flowers will look to continue his successful sophomore season with big numbers this fall.
