Austin Carr, age 23

In regards to potential, Austin Carr leads the back end of New England’s roster. After going undrafted in the 2017 draft, he joined the defending Super Bowl champion Patriots. Carr led the Big Ten in catches, receiving yards, and touchdowns in 2016 along with being named a Biletnikoff Award Finalist. He finished his time at Northwestern with 113 catches, 1,649 receiving yards, and fourteen touchdowns.

It will be tough for Carr to crack the 53-man roster as a rookie, although trying to sneak him onto the practice squad could be risky. The Patriots could redshirt Carr for the upcoming season and enter 2018 as a replacement for free agent Danny Amendola or Julian Edelman.

Cody Hollister, age 23

The twin brother of tight end, Jacob Hollister, joined New England as a undrafted free agent following last month’s draft. Cody Hollister played three years at Arkansas where he totaled 27 receptions, 342 receiving yards, and one touchdown. At 6-foot-4, he has ideal size for a wideout. Hollister will compete with Lucien, Carr, and White for a spot on the practice squad.
