New England Patriots are heavy favorite to win AFC East

The New England Patriots are one of the best teams heading into the 2017 season. What are their odds to win their own division?
Coming into the 2017 season, the New England Patriots are the odds-on favorite to win the Super Bowl for the second straight year.
After a strong offseason, the Patriots are arguably even better than they were last season, and that is a scary thought. Last season, the Patriots were able to win without the best tight end in the NFL in Rob Gronkowski.
Gronkowski missed half of the 2016 season, and all of the playoffs because of an injury. However, he appears to be healthy and ready to go for the 2017 season. In addition to getting a healthy Gronkowski back, the Patriots also added wide receiver Brandin Cooks to their offense.
On the Saints, Cooks was a dynamic wide receiver, and at just 23-years-old, he is heading into his prime. With Julian Edelman, Gronkowski, and Cooks, stopping the Patriots offense will be difficult.
While the offense appears to be better on paper, the defense is also looking very strong. The Patriots were able to keep their key free agents this offseason, and then they made a big splash by signing Stephon Gilmore.
With a great offseason under their belt, the Patriots once again appear to be the cream of the crop in the AFC East. In the Brady/Belichick era, the Patriots have dominated the division. This season appears to be no different.
Here are the complete odds to win the AFC East from Westgate:
Patriots 1-14
Dolphins 11-4
Bills 7-2
Jets 9-2

As the favorites to win the AFC East, the Patriots are also the biggest favorite in the NFL to win their own division. Even though the Miami Dolphins made the playoffs last season, Vegas isn’t giving them much of a chance to dethrone the Patriots in the division.
While an injury or two can change everything, expect to see the Patriots with another AFC East crown after the regular season.
