 Kicker/Punter

Kicker – Adam Vinatieri (Colts)

Punter – Robbie Gould (49ers)

It’s always nice when you have a future Hall of Famer to plug into your team. It would be nicer if it was an offensive or defensive player but we will take Adam Vinatieri as our starting Kicker. Cheating a small bit with the Punter, but with Danny Baugher, Josh Miller, Chris Hanson, Tom Malone, and Zoltan Mesko all out of the league I had to turn to Robbie Gould to see if he could do some punting for the team.

Long Snapper – Charley Hughlett (Browns)

Cut in Camp – Tyler Ott (Seahawks)

Now the one you have been waiting for, long snapper. In all seriousness, Charley Hughlett has been the Browns Snapper since 2014 and is the only one on their roster, which speaks to the faith placed in him by that franchise. Ott by comparison only has 4 career appearances and has been signed to compete with Nolan Frese for the starting job in 2017 with the Seahawks.

Well, there you have it. Your 2017 New England Ex-Pats. Some decent position groups and a roster certainly to build upon. Would it win any games? Probably not. When I started the exercise it looked pretty ugly, but the Defence is not terrible, as long as some help was brought in at the Offensive Tackle position and one or two Wide Receivers were added it has the makings of a decent team.
