The New England Patriots now know when they will be playing their 2017 opponents after the NFL Schedule release. What are the 5 toughest games in 2017?

After a great 2016 season, the New England Patriots will be attempting to repeat as Super Bowl champions. Even though New England won their fifth Super Bowl in 2016, they faced some challenges during the season.

To start, the Patriots had to overcome the suspension of Tom Brady for the first four games of the season. With Jimmy Garoppolo and Jacoby Brissett, the Patriots were able to go 3-1 during that stretch, as their only loss came at home against the Buffalo Bills.

After Brady returned, the Patriots went on a nice stretch, winning four games in a row heading into their bye week. To the surprise of some, the Patriots lost to the Seattle Seahawks at home on Sunday Night Football following the bye week. However, that would be their last loss of the season.

The Patriots entered the playoffs winning seven games in a row and were able to defeat teams like the Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins on the road. One of the most impressive things for the Patriots was their ability to win on the road. They didn’t lose a game away from home last season, and that was an indication how good of a team they really were in 2016.

Now, the Patriots will be focusing on trying to repeat as champions. With a target on their back, every team will be giving them their best shot in 2017. Here are the five toughest games of the season for New England.
