3          Taylor Price     WR     Ohio    Grade: F

The perpetually unhealthy wide receiver struggled from the minute he was drafted in the 3rd round. Not only was staying on the field difficult, when he was on it he wasn’t producing. The Patriots cut ties with Price in his second season with a total of three catches for the team. He spent time with the Jaguars and Seahawks but his problems continued until he fell out the league in 2014.

4          Aaron Hernandez    TE       Florida    Grade: B

Okay. This one is going to be difficult. I have decided to grade him for his on-field production rather than what happened off it. In his three years in Foxboro, Hernandez operated similar to a slot receiver catching 175 passes for almost 2000 yards and 18 TD’s. Defenses found it hard to cover Gronkowski, often double teaming him which left Hernandez either open or poorly covered.

He did have issues catching the football and found it difficult to stay on the field due to injuries but the Patriots believed in him enough to hand him a 5-year $40m extension in 2012. We all know what has happened since and the veil he cast over the franchise, but while he was here and for a 4th round pick, he was a good one.
