New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is one of the best in the business. However, he never misses an opportunity to praise his assistants.

The New England Patriots have been a very successful franchise in the last two decades because of head coach Bill Belichick. With five Super Bowls as a head coach, Belichick is one of the best coaches of all-time.

In addition to being an excellent coach, Belichick has proven to be one of the best talent evaluators in the NFL. Belichick frequently is able to draft well in the late-rounds of the draft and develop players.

Even though Belichick gets a lot of the credit, he never misses an opportunity to praise his assistants. As a speaker at an Ohio State coaches clinic, Belichick praised his assistants via Mike Reiss of ESPN.com.

"“The way I see a football staff being put together is that it’s a group of head coaches. The head coach is the head coach, and he has certain restrictions in the program that he’s running — whether it’s academic, salary cap, players in that district, budget constraints, whatever they happen to be. The coaches below that, coordinators, are really head coaches of their respective side of the ball: offense, defense, special teams. Position coaches are really head coaches of the positions they coach, that group of players.”"

Coming into 2017, the Patriots have two coaches that could be in their final seasons with the team. On the offensive side of the ball, Josh McDaniels will be one of the favorites to land a head coaching job after the season.

In addition to McDaniels, defensive coordinator Matt Patricia also interviewed for head coaching jobs last season. For Belichick, having two great coordinators on both sides of the ball certainly, makes his job easier. With two great coordinators, the Patriots will once again be one of the best offenses and defenses in the NFL next season.
