New England Patriots Win Super Bowl LI in Historic Fashion

The New England Patriots were able to defeat the Atlanta Falcons in a great game. Here’s what happened in Super Bowl 51.
In Super Bowl 51, the New England Patriots were able to win their fifth Super Bowl. It did not come easy for the Patriots, but they were able to defeat the Atlanta Falcons in overtime.
To start the game, the Falcons took control early. A few turnovers by the Patriots allowed the Falcons to score 14 points off of them. A Tom Brady interception and a LeGarette Blount fumble resulted in 14 points for the Falcons.
In a close game like this, turnovers were key, and the Patriots were -2 on the differential at halftime. At the half, the Patriots trailed 21-3. It was pretty much as bad as it could get for New England, however, they were able to make a comeback.
After a fun performance by Lady Gaga, the Patriots were able to mount a comeback. The Falcons were able to score a touchdown on their second drive of the second half, but the Patriots didn’t give up.
The Patriots would respond to the Falcons’ fourth touchdown of the game with their first in the third quarter. After making the score 28-9, the Patriots would get a field goal to bring it to a two-score game.
While 16 points is difficult in the NFL, it is still two possessions. The Patriots were able to score touchdowns on their final tow possessions of the second half, and they also converted on their two-point conversions to tie the game.
After winning the coin toss in overtime, the Patriots were able to score a touchdown to seal the deal. The win was the fifth Super Bowl in the history of the franchise and also the fifth for Brady and Bill Belichick.
It was one of the most exciting Super Bowls in the history of the NFL. Also, it solidifies the Patriots as a dynasty in the NFL. It was an incredible game, and fans of the Patriots will certainly be celebrating this one for a long time.
