2.) Weak AFC

While the Patriots are arguably the best team in football, they will have the luxury of playing in the AFC Playoffs. Due to injuries, the AFC doesn’t have too many threats that can take down the Patriots realistically.

Most notably, the Oakland Raiders will be without quarterback Derek Carr. This season, Carr was emerging as a potential MVP candidate. However, a leg injury late in the season ended his season early. Sadly for the Raiders, they aren’t going to be able to survive in the playoffs without their great, young quarterback.

With the Raiders not being a threat anymore, the Patriots are likely left with just two teams to worry about. Both the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers could present problems in a potential matchup with the Patriots.

The Chiefs are led by a strong defense, and their offense has also taken some steps forward. Tight end Travis Kelce has emerged as one of the top tight ends in the NFL. Also, rookie Tyreek Hill has become an explosive threat for their offensive in recent weeks.

While the Chiefs are more of a balanced team, the Steelers are one that can score a lot of points on anyone. With three of the best players in the NFL at their respective positions, the Steelers could be the biggest threat in the AFC.
