5.) Great Coaching Staff

Sometimes in football, the coaches get overlooked. Very rarely do you see a team succeed without having a great staff, and the Patriots have one of the best in the business. Led, of course, by Bill Belichick, the Patriots are always one of the most prepared teams in the NFL. With a 14-2 record this season, Belichick has once again done a masterful job as the head coach.

However, credit also has to go to his top two coordinators. Both Josh McDaniels and Matt Patricia deserve a lot of credit this season. For McDaniels, he was able to help the Patriots navigate their way through a difficult stretch to start the season.

Without Brady, the Patriots were able to go 3-1, and we saw the rise of Jimmy Garoppolo. In addition to Garoppolo playing well, the Patriots also rediscovered their running game. Now, with a balanced attack, the Patriots have looked unstoppable on offense at times.

On the defensive side of the ball, Patricia has his guys playing great in the second half of the season. Entering the playoffs, the Patriots have a top-10 rushing defense in the NFL, and the defense as a whole has vastly improved.

Due to the success of both coordinators, they are both up for head coaching jobs this offseason. However, they will hopefully be leading their respective units to a Super Bowl win.
