3. LeGarrette Blount will have a huge game

All those turnovers will bode well for the Patriots’ ground game, primarily LeGarrette Blount. With an early lead established (thanks in part to Blount’s strong running from the opening possession), the Patriots will turn to their power back to grind out a big conference victory.

Blount’s fantasy football owners will be rewarded in full for their decision to plug Blount into their lineup. Playing with fire against his former team, Blount will rack up over 125 yards and two scores on the round to bring his total to eight touchdowns on the season.

Much like McCourty is due for a pick, Blount is due for a big game on the ground. He hasn’t passed the 100-yard mark since Week 3; look for him to revert to his form in the first three games, when he rushed for a total of 298 yards.

It’s not like the Steelers have the best run defense, either. Mike Tomlin’s group has surrendered the third-highest yards per carry average (4.6), so there is going to be room for Blount to run in this game.

The more Blount runs, the better off the Patriots’ long-term chances of winning the Super Bowl.
