Yuck. This was an ugly game all around, and Brady was not immune from blame by any means. No. 12 completed just 25 of 43 passes for a measly 197 yards, no touchdowns and an interception. The 52.2 quarterback rating Brady produced in this game was his lowest in the 2013 season.
Brady’s interception came by way of Adam Jones, which gave the Bengals an added possession in this field position battle of a game. The Patriots were also burned by former running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis, who rushed for a touchdowns against his old teammates.
However, the Patriots didn’t have to wait too long for another crack at the Bengals, as they met a year later under very different circumstances…
