Brady tore it up in the 2010 season opener, connecting on 25 of 35 attempts for 258 yards and three touchdowns. His 120.9 quarterback rating in this game was the second-best performance out of the six games featured in this article.

Wes Welker, not known for catching a ton of touchdowns passes, snagged a pair of scores in this game. More importantly, however, was the first-ever NFL touchdown of tight end legend Rob Gronkowski, who caught one pass for a one-yard score. It was a sign of things to come.

2010 marked Brady’s second MVP season, and he kick-started his campaign with this outstanding Week 1 performance to stay perfect against the Bengals. But the luck of both Brady and the Patriots would flip in the next matchup with Cincy three years later…
