Wes Welker, not known for catching a ton of touchdowns passes, snagged a pair of scores in this game. More importantly, however, was the first-ever NFL touchdown of tight end legend Rob Gronkowski, who caught one pass for a one-yard score. It was a sign of things to come.
2010 marked Brady’s second MVP season, and he kick-started his campaign with this outstanding Week 1 performance to stay perfect against the Bengals. But the luck of both Brady and the Patriots would flip in the next matchup with Cincy three years later…
