Ranking Top 10 performers through New England Patriots first three games
Many hands make light work. The story of the 2016 New England Patriots thus far has been one of teamwork.
Let’s take a look at the top 10 Patriots performers through three games:
10. Patrick Chung
Since returning to the Patriots after a terrible 2013 season with the Philadelphia Eagles, Patrick Chung has been outstanding, putting up two huge years for the Pats in 2014 and 2015. This seaosn, Chung is picking up right where left off at the end of last year.

Chung ranks third on the team with 16 combined tackles, and he has also registered a pair of pass breakups. It is Chung’s dual ability as a run stopping strong safety as well as a cover man in the secondary that puts him on this list as the ninth-best Patriots player through the first three games.
Of course, Chung has been displaying the versatility that Bill Belichick likes in his defensive players. He has made the occasional appearance at linebacker this month.

Look for the Patriots to put Chung on the field with fellow safeties Duron Harmon and Devin McCourty. It seems like the Patriots sometimes prefer to use three safeties rather than three cornerbacks in nickel packages.
