2. Malcolm Mitchell will have best rookie wide receiver season in Bill Belichick era.

It’s no secret that Bill Belichick isn’t exactly adept at drafting wide receivers. From Chad Jackson to Aaron Dobson, Belichick has tried and failed to select a wide receiver prospect from the draft and convert him into a star receiver. Well, that will change in 2016 with the rise of Mitchell.

We’re especially glad these 8 players made the final roster

Those of you who watched the first preseason game against the New Orleans Saints know the kind of ability the Georgia product possesses. Keep in mind that Mitchell was considered one of the best wideouts in the SEC when healthy, and with good reason; he is long and lanky for a 6-foot-1 pass catcher, and he has soft hands and clear awareness of where he is on the field.

A stat line of 55 receptions, 788 yards and six touchdowns will set Mitchell up for inclusion in the Offensive Rookie of the Year conversation. Speaking of outstanding offensive rookies…
