4. Jimmy Garoppolo will throw more interceptions than Tom Brady.

Even though Garoppolo will only play in four games, he will end up throwing more interceptions than Brady. That will occur as a result of two things: (1) Garoppolo getting accustomed to the speed of a meaningful NFL regular season game, and (2) Brady’s ability to limit turnovers.

5 bold predictions for Patriots regular season  

Look, the reality is that Garoppolo will struggle at times in September. It’s quite likely that he’s going to toss more interceptions than most Patriots fans are used to seeing on Sundays from their quarterback. This writer is predicting that Garoppolo will throw six or seven interceptions, and that Brady will only throw four or five in his 12 starts. Garoppolo will learn when it’s better to cut his losses and check down his James White rather than force a deep ball into double coverage.
