Longtime New England Patriots fixtures Tom Brady and Rob Ninkovich will both be serving four-game suspensions to start the 2016 regular season. How are they going to spend the time away from their teammates?

Tom Brady and Rob Ninkovich have been teammates since the 2009 season when Nink squeezed onto the roster after being out of football for the entirety of 2008 (before that he spent two quiet years with the New Orleans Saints). In fact, only Stephen Gostkowski, Matthew Slater and Brady have been with the team long than Ninkovich. So yeah, Brady and Nink are pretty familiar with each other.

Both Brady and Nink are fierce competitors who absolutely HATE missing practices and games. In fact, last season marked the first time since Nink’s first year in New England that No. 50 missed a practice. Nink is one of the NFL’s iron men, to say the least.

Brady, as we know, will be seething as JImmy Garoppolo takes the reins of the Patriots’ offense. He won’t be able to eat enough veggie smoothies to quell the anger of not being on the field in the in the first quarter of the NFL’s regular season.

So how will Brady and Nink pass the time? Simple. They’ll toss the ball, cook some food together and take in the Patriots vs. Cardinals on television like the rest of us shmucks.

In many ways, Brady and Ninkovich will need each other during this time. Having played six seasons with each other, Brady and NInk have been through ups and downs, trials and tribulations, and will need that history together to endure those Sunday afternoons.
