TIGHT END

1. Rob Gronkowski

2. Martellus Bennett

3. A.J. Derby

Of course, the Gronk-Bennett duo will be a major storyline for the Patriots this season. Hopefully, these two evade the seemingly inevitable injury bug and Garoppolo (and Brady) get to enjoy the fruits of having a pair of twin-tower tight ends. In particular, it will be interesting to see which of these two is more productive in the red zone. How are teams going to approach covering these 6-foot-6 targets.

Analyzing Nate Washington, E.J. Biggers releases

After Gronk and Bennett, Derby will edge veteran Harbor to earn the No. 3 spot. Derby has been a major talking point this preseason, repeatedly making impressive catches in traffic and maintaining that level of play in the preseason games. Furthermore, you just have to root for Derby after he fought through getting cut last year and logging hours on the practice squad.

Cut: Clay Harbor, Steven Scheu, Bryce Williams
